so, i cut my finger as i opened a can of beans to go in my chili and let me tell you that is some good turkey chili YUM! well, my finger bled, of course. i immediately applied pressure to it with a paper towel, washed it well, and put a bandaid on it for say, 3 minutes. after removing the bandaid, there was a thin coat of scab over the cut. do you realize what that means in partial? i have a healthy immune system, it's working the way it was designed to work, to fight infection. that scab in it's premature state was protecting my flesh from infection.
what is my point? i know my immune system is working the way it was intended...strong. disease of any king can weaken your immune system, making it more of a challenge for your body to fight infection. i know that my immune system is strong because i know my health status. regular visits to the doctor's office, good hygiene practices, and regular HIV TESTING....know your status, get tested: www.blackaids.org for an HIV testing site near you.
